With heart disease on the rise today info requiring the method of protecting your heart is what i consider much needed advice to say the least.Cardiovascular health is essential to your overall good health. There are many ways to ensure that you will not be a victim to this dreaded disease.Exercise,a healthy diet are just a few ways of prevention but to maintain a healthy heart for a lifetime that becomes much more...it is your lifestyle.So read on as we discover methods of prevention as well as ways to reverse this dreaded disease in this ehow article entitled,"how to not get heart disease.
- Step 1 how to not get heart disease
Heart Disease is the number one killer in men and women today. Therefore we must prevent this dreaded disease simply by using a little bit of common sense. Think of your arteries as a drain. If you pour grease and all types of gook down the drain what happens ... you got it the drain gets clogged and you have to call the plumber. Now let's associate the drain at your kitchen sink with your arteries leading to your heart. When you eat fatty foods high in cholesterol you are definitely increasing your chances for heart disease. Let's do a recap... limit the cholesterol in your diet.

Many of us as we go through life we are consumed with massive amounts of stress compounded into our ever increasing busy lives. Take time out for you to so called stop and smell the roses. This simply means don't stress over things that in the long-term don't really matter a whole lot. Stress is a major factor in heart disease so it must be managed in order to fight this KILLER called heart disease.

Keep your heart healthy through regular exercise ... this will increase the blood flow to and from your heart.

This step is most important in preventing heart disease which is a healthy diet. Eating healthy will not only change your life but it may very well save it. Lots of fruits and veggies are a must. Limit your red meat intake substituting this with healthy meats such as salmon,fish,chicken,turkey etc. ..I don't need to remind everyone that our asian countries they don't get the diseases that we do in the US mainly because of their healthy eating habits.

Our next step is crucial in the prevention of heart disease and that would be "Smoking" which is extremely detrimental to your heart and your overall good health. Just imagine trying to breathe with your lungs after smoking for an extended period of time. Smoking causes your lungs to be black and yet you have to breathe with those black lungs. Healthy lungs are like raw meat ... not to mention smoking destroys the cilia which filters your lungs from foreign material.

In preventing heart disease you need to be sure to limit your alcohol consumption since this also increases your risk for heart disease greatly.

Thanks for the comment.I think we all need to eat as healthy as possible to hopefully prevent the threat of heart disease.If we begin to think of our arteries as the drains in our sink we might would think twice about what we allow ourselves to consume on a daily basis.
